Director of Manufacturing Engineering Job Scope As Director of Manufacturing Engineering, you will lead and grow the team responsible for developing and industrialising the manufacturing solutions required for Lyten's next-generation battery technologies. You will play a key role in bridging technology development and industrial execution, ensuring future products can be successfully scaled into robust, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence on technology decisions, industrialisation strategy, manufacturing concepts, and future production capabilities. A key focus will be on growing the organisation while working closely with R&D, Product Development, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and external partners to build the manufacturing platform that supports Lyten's future growth. By helping transform breakthrough technologies into scalable manufacturing solutions, you will play a direct role in enabling the energy transition and strengthening Europe's industrial future. Key Responsibilities · Lead, develop, and grow the Manufacturing Engineering organisation. · Build a high-performing culture with clear roles, responsibilities, and ways of working. · Drive the industrialisation of next-generation products, processes, and manufacturing technologies. · Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturing readiness. · Shape manufacturing strategy, technology roadmaps, and future production capabilities. · Evaluate and implement new manufacturing concepts, automation solutions, and production technologies. · Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term capability development. · Build strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and key stakeholders. Requirements · Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. · Extensive experience within manufacturing engineering, industrialisation, production engineering, or advanced manufacturing. · Proven leadership experience building, developing, and leading engineering organisations. · Strong track record of scaling manufacturing operations and industrialising new products, technologies, or manufacturing concepts. · Experience leading managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams in complex environments. · Background from automotive, industrial equipment, electronics, battery, or other advanced manufacturing industries. · Strong strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute and deliver results. · Experience working across international and cross-functional organisations. · Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. · Fluent in English, written and spoken.
