We are now looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our client’s team and play a key role in delivering large-scale, state-of-the-art data center projects in the Gävle area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commissioning professional to work on critical infrastructure projects at the forefront of the rapidly growing data center industry. About the position Are you an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in HVAC and mechanical systems? Do you want to work on large-scale, business-critical data center projects and be part of a high-performing international team? OnePartnerGroup is now looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a consulting assignment with one of Europe's leading companies within data center delivery and digital infrastructure. As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring that mechanical systems are tested, commissioned and perform according to design intent, specifications and project requirements. You will work closely with the Commissioning Manager, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders. This is an opportunity to work on large and technically advanced data center projects in an international environment. Your main responsibilities As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will: Carry out hands-on mechanical commissioning activities in accordance with approved commissioning plans and procedures. Execute mechanical commissioning protocols, including system testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics and functional performance testing. Ensure that HVAC and mechanical services operate in accordance with design intent, specifications and performance criteria. Witness and support vendor commissioning activities and ensure compliance with approved project documentation. Perform daily commissioning activities on site, including system inspections and readiness checks. Manage and complete the commissioning tagging process in accordance with project procedures. Review commissioning documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements and Cx approval levels. Support quality management activities related to site services and commissioning. Ensure commissioning activities are completed in line with project schedules and key milestones. Always adhere to strict Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements. Maintain clear and effective communication with the Commissioning Manager, contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders. Who are you? We are looking for a structured, analytical and hands-on professional who enjoys working in a technically demanding project environment. To be successful in the role, you have: A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a recognised mechanical trade qualification combined with appropriate training and experience. At least 3 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Commissioning Engineer role. Strong experience commissioning HVAC and mechanical systems within commercial, industrial or data center environments. A solid understanding of construction environments and safe systems of work. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions when required. A process-driven approach with a strong focus on EHS and quality management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proven ability to maintain positive and professional working relationships with contractors and suppliers on site.
