About the role

A hotel built from snow and ice sourced from the Torne River, featuring art created by selected artists who travel here from across the globe. Our operations include traditional hotel rooms and cabins, Icehotel 365, a hotel by night and an art gallery by day and, from mid-December to mid-April, our seasonal winter hotel made entirely of snow and ice. We are passionate about creating enriching experiences and living in harmony with nature. In addition to the ice art, we offer nature-based activities and culinary experiences, both in-house and in collaboration with carefully selected partners, as a complement to the art. About the Role We are looking for a Lead Chef to lead our show-cooking experience at Veranda Restaurant at ICEHOTEL for the winter season 2026/2027. The Veranda experience is more than a dinner. It is a fine dining experience where we cook and present the food in front of our guests. Bring your experience, personality, skills and passion to help us share the story behind our new menu, inspired by the eight Sámi seasons. Responsibilities Lead the kitchen team at Veranda Restaurant. Cook and present food in front of our guests. Share the story behind the menu through storytelling as you cook. Contribute ideas to the Veranda experience. Who are you? You bring a positive personality, ideas and a genuine passion for hospitality. You enjoy interacting with guests and are comfortable sharing the stories behind the food as you cook and present it. Qualifications Strong professional kitchen experience. Previous experience in fine dining and leading a kitchen team is essential. Comfortable working in a chef’s table and open-kitchen setting. Experience with Nordic flavours and food culture. Fluent English is required. Swedish is an advantage. About the position Type of employment: Seasonal employment for winter 2026/2027. Start date: As agreed. Location: Jukkasjärvi, Sweden.
